What are Jaguar owners reading?

For a number of years I have been reading Road and Track Magazine. (This is in the USA, I don’t know it it is sold in in other countries) Somehow however I don’t find it as interesting as I used to. Maybe my taste has changed or perhaps the magazine is different. I was wondering what other Jaguar owner reads? Thanks, Lou. For the record, I have two Jaguar XJ6 vehicles; A1975 and a 1977 XJ6.

Take your pick. They all do international subscriptions.

Lou!
Which one of those magazines would deal with need of parts,
I have some used and some are new?

Back in the 1960s and early 70s, I used to read Road & Track and Sports Car Graphic. Nowadays, the non-UK car magazines seem to have disappeared from the shelves. There are so many British ones now that I guess there’s no space. In the 1980s and 90s, I read Practical Classics, soaked up their Mk2 and XK engine rebuilds. More recently, there was Practical Performance Car. At present, it’s mainly Jaguar: Jag World, Classic Jaguar, and Jaguar Enthusiast. For spare parts, I look at Jag Enthusiast, and of course eBay and the usual retailers.

So did I. Still have many in my garage. Definitely kept all the ones dealing with the restoration of their sad XJ6 project - that was the car we had and still do. Also reading this.

I would have thought most Jaguar owners are perpetually reading the repair manual…

My observation is that very few people on this message board even own a manual

The only car mag I regularly read is Hagerty’s bimonthly.

Other than that, lots of nonfiction!

And hence some of the questions. I have all the manuals and the parts books. Then you get the people who just won’t read. One of my acquaintances rang to ask me which way to orientate his e type’s prop shaft and waited for me to call him back. How hard is that to work out!

Next time he calls? Tell’im to RTFB.
