What do the resonators do

My head has been ported, which helps, but the biggest difference was when I removed the air choking secondary throttle plates.

It is such an easy, and easy to reverse (though never would I think of doing that) modification, that it’s kinda hard to believe, till one experiences it.

My OEM Butt Dyno noticed a difference. But keep in mind that most butt dynos are also frequently generate erroneous data.

In the case of The Missing Secondary Flutterbies(c), the butt-o-meter is plenty to discern the difference!

That said, some butts are more finely-tuned than others…:wink:

John, it is part of the emission manifold on the S2 with Stromberg carbs. Your S1 with SU’s do not have the emission manifold wihich re routes the flow with these second throttle plates.

I expected it might be a non S1 thing as the only throttle plate I knew was just one in the SU.
