I’ll keep it short. I have been looking all afternoon for the MAP sensor on my 84 Lucas system and cannot find it. Does anyone know where it is?
Yep. It’s inside the ecu and not a stand alone widget.

I believe that the Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor you are looking for is inside Lucas Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) located in the trunk (boot) on the right side above the right wheel well. The EFI ECU gets its vacuum reading directly through a hose that is connected to the balance pipe and then goes along the left side of the transmission and into the trunk. For some of that distance it is a metal pipe.
