Window switch Or motor nt working

My XJ6 1996 nearside window was not working found power to the motor but was overheating , replaced with a 2nd hand motor still the same problem doesen’t work from driver’s side switch either all other windows work okay so not the fuse on that side could it be the window switch something to do with the earthing ? Can anyone help.Jimbo thanks

Jimbo,

You are on the wrong list. The XJ6s discussed here are the Series I, II, and III cars. Your XJ6 is a couple of generations newer.

I believe you have what is referred to as an X300 and you should be on that list.
