My windshield washer pump does not run. I saw a video on you tube showing the front bumper coming off??? can this be so, to replace the pump and reservoir? my car is a 1996 xj6 vnaden plas
Thought u could change the pump from inside the wheel arch
I was able to " coax" the pump back to life by a gentle tapping on the pump body whilst assistant held the washer on. I still had no fluid at the windscreen nozzles . i found a check valve on the firewall that was clogged, replacing the check valve and probing out the jets with the smallest welding tip cleaner in my kit. have all four nozzles working splendidly now. access to the pump motor was accomplished by dropping the plastic protection skid behind the bumper . I was happy not to remove the reservoir as that looked rather difficult to me.
