Yesterday I was driving in misty conditions when the wipers stopped. I couldn’t get them to start again. I was able to manually get the arms back to the rest position. I read where the fuse is in the owners manual and noted it also controlled the washer. This morning I tested the washer and it worked fine. I also could hear a whir from the wiper motor running. I’m suspecting that a link between the motor and the arms broke. I can not see anything out of place under the hood.
Has anyone had a similar thing happen to them?
P.S. It is an 04 X Type wagon.
