Just a silly suggestion … but have you tried to lift the box up a bit to clear the floor rail at the bottom and then try pulling it out starting from the bottom?
Yep, tried moving it to fully up and fully down - there is no way near enough room to allow removal. I’ve now put two slices into the upper curved panel which allows it to be removed. I didn’t attempt to drill out all the spot welds as there are about 30 of them all over the place on each side (in true Jag factory style!).
Once renovated and put back in, the slices will be easy to weld up and grind out to be almost invisible.
