[x-type] Driving in the snow

Some of you may have heard that Colorado and Denver in particular
has received a fair amount of snow recently (understatement). The X-
Type handled my commute home yesterday quite well as you might
expect. once I got off the main road and in the neighborhood, I’m
guessing the car was pushing several inches of the white stuff in
front of the bumper and still doing OK. When I got into my garage,
I noticed that all of the front air intake areas were solidly
packed with snow. I suspect that had I needed to travel much
farther, the car would have overheated. Fortunately I can stay home
today. Happy holidays to all of you great listers.–

It should handle well in the sno, after all it was tested pre-
launch in Timmins 400 miles north of Toronto for 3 months (6 hours
a day ie 2x8 hour shifts) in temps which could quickly falll to
mius 40 degrees!–

After the car thaws out - be sure and check underneath to make sure
the snow didn’t rip off the plastic air deflector on ther bottom of
the engine.

My x-Type is a 2.0 L diesel, thus front wheel drive. I go any where
with it. Sometimes I overtake SUVs with automatic transmission on
the snow… lol–
