[x-type] Shocks

I have one of my shocks that has developed a loose bushing and
requires replacement. My mechanic says to replace both at the same
time (the stock shocks are $180ea. - sport model). I am wondering
if any users have used any other type of shock. I would like to
keep the sport ride and buy a premium shock (or should I stick with
stock?). I am also replacing the Contis on the rear and am
wondering if other users have experienced severe rear end sway as
the rear tires have worn.

P.S. I have a complete coil/shock set from a 2002 2.5 X-Type Sport,
if you’re intrested. I really had no intention of selling them
after I replaced the coil/shocks with an Eibach kit but if you want
them, what the heck.–
