i’m getting my jag on monday and can’t wait. it’s a 2003
model se 3.0
when I looked at it in the showroom it had a telephone
button on the steering wheel.
will I be able to use my phone/sim in the car?

I think it depends on whether you have the bluetooth/telephone
provisional equipment fitted. That button you refer to will
probably be the voice command system which enables handsfree voice
command to adjust the temp, change the radio channel, and
destination (if you have sat nav fitted) etc. If it has the
telephone provision fitted this will also allow you to use it for
the telephone as well.–

it or not?
I do not have the navigation option on my car but there are
all the phone buttons. When I press the Phone Menu Button
the display says ‘‘No Phone’’ - does that mean that no phone
is paired by bluetooth or that no bluetooth module is installed?
And finally, if there is a bluetooth module installed, how
do I pair it with my phone? (I’ve tried pressing and holding
most buttons in different combinations by now and can’t find
any information in the owners manual.)

Make sure your phone Bluetooth option is switched on.
Switch on car ignition
Go to your Bluetooth options on your phone and ask it to search for
audio enhancements if Bluetooth is fitted to the car it should come
up with Jaguar.
Try this 1st if ok will try and find setup procedure for pairing.

like other bluetooth headsets - i.e. you have to activate

If the conclusion is that my car is lacking the option, does
anyone know;
a - is it extremely expensive and complicated to install the
option?

I have a feeling the bluetooth module was on option for the year of
your X but try the pairing from the Jaguar instructions and that
should confirm yes or no
