[x300] 1995 XJ6 Airbag Control Module Circuit

I have my airbag light stuck on (and ‘‘airbag’’ on the
odometer readout). I had one sensor replaced that my Jag
guy said was an indicated fault when they read the codes,
but the light is still on.

I ordered a used control module replacement and have been
looking at the circuit board inside and the component
labeled ‘‘F1’’ has a burnt mark in the middle of it.

I believe that is a fuse on the circuit board, that is burnt.

Does anyone know what size that fuse is? Looks reasonably
easy to remove it and replace it.

Has anyone tried this?–

Did you ever get your airbag light problem resolved? Is so, what fixed it?

Ifyou mean that the used one has a burnt fuse, I’d return it for a refund pronto as there is a good chance that it may be u/s.
Unless you can read the value of the fuse on one of the end caps, the only way you may find it’s value is by looking at one ina good unit and hope it’s on the glass barrel.
