[x300] 1995 XJR ABS/TRAC Fault pump-run when stopping

Today Sunday was unusally bad . Very rainy here in Detroit.
When coming to a stop after 10 miles or so, just as vehicle stops
moving the pump runs momentarilty and pedal falls slightly then BOTH
ABS and TRAC Control faults appear. If I momentarliy flip the ing.
key of and back on, the faults dissapear. This event may occur the
next time I stop or next week! I noticed that during the winter
months when freezing weather and low humidity, I may not experience
this event for 4 months. Moisture in one of the sensors? (which I
replaced). Moisture in the control module on the inner fender?

I would welcome any help form someone that has been down this road.

I will talk to anybody.
Thank you,
Tony

In reply to a message from Tumam sent Mon 19 Jun 2006:

Tony,

Experienced a similar problem with my '99 XJR.

Turned out to be a slightly loose fitting on the ABS box. I
believe the one on mine that was loose was the line to the
right front brake.

Snugged it up and no problems since. 2+ years.

Regards,
Jim R.
