[x300] 96 XJ6 Boot

The boot on my '96 won’t stay up. I’ve owned the car about a year
now and it’s never kept itself open. I’ve been using a stick of
wood but would definitely prefer to have the lid hold itself up.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get the cylinders to
work or is there something I’m missing? Do these cylinders require
replacement or servicing and if so, what’s required to
remove/replace them? Thanks for all of the input!–
