How does one open the battery compartment on the key fob?

What is the battery size?

Any other conserns I should be aware of when replacing this

Can’t remembervthe battery size off the top of my head but
??2018 rings a bell, but the biggest concern is not to
knacker the latch on the battery cover! You need to push a
thin blunt blad through the slot by the brass key ring
attachment ring and gently push until the FRAGILE plastic
loop releases the cover.
Many have been destroyed by levering them off and are then
lost forever as you can’t get replacements, if you do
break it as I DID once, you can drill a tiny hole and use
a very small screw to hold the cover on as I had to.–

Shell…I think the X300 uses two batteries like the X308??
They are CR2016.
If you do bugger the fixing, I have found a dab of black silicone
is easier that faffing around with screws and easy to get open
again ;o)

Cheers,
