X300 Boot (Trunk) light not working

Hello Folks,
The boot (trunk light on my X300 1995 does’nt work. I recently repaired the cables running into the boot lid as the boot release button did’nt work and noticed the light flash on a couple of times. Since then everything else works except the boot light and there’s no power to the connector. From the diagram there does’nt seem to be a separate fuse and as i could’nt locate the boot light switch i wondered if it is incorporated into the boot release switch as it is on the XJS?
Would appreciate any illumination on the problem…Charlie.

The latch micro-switch is ‘clipped’ onto the lid latch assy.

You can unplug the latch switch and ‘jump’ (short) across the terminals to activate the system.

There is a tilt switch in lamp circuit that turns it off and on when open or closed, that may be faulty or not wired

Thanx for that~assume the latch switch is mechanicallyactivated by the boot release? Charlie.

It’s controlled by the BPM along with the trunk open lam.
