My odometer reading flickers sometimes but the dash lights stay
rock steady.
Can we X308 guys look at wiring diagrams yet? Without them you’re
just up the creek. I would do some easy stuff like clean all of
the ground contacts and make sure all fuses are properly seated.–

I recently experienced a similar fault on a 1994 XJS: the dashboard & rear lights would sometime work, sometime not. I rummaged a bit through the posts in the forum and got convinced to look at the relays (Hella, blue cubes) on the left of the engine bay. I first cleaned the contacts but got mixed results. I then bought new ones on ebay (I bought three to replace the three, for good measure) and … voila. The problem is gone.
Usually a wire on the back of the indicator stalk needs soldering back on.
I guess he fixed it. 12 years ago!!!
