[x300] LCD clock disassembly

I have the LCD clock out of my 95 XJ6, The 6 retaining tabs
on the housing have been released but the back won’t pull
free. I’m a bit cautious about pulling to hard and damaging
the unit. Am I missing something?

Also, at one point did I see the directions in the archives
with a full set of pics included. If so, does anyone have
this link

It’s in the e-book for this forum. Instruction were great.
Hardest part is removing leather cowl around shifter.
Additionally, I would pack under ski slope with towel while
removing nylon wing nuts so they don’t fall into an inconvenient
place.

By the way, you can undo the clock model and remove it from the
support bracket with just the 4 screws. This saves removing the
upper switch assembly and radio.

Best regards,

I did this recently, there is one of the plastic tabs that wasn’t
so easy to spot, I lifted the outer case over it and the rest, and
it happily came away. you took the short screws out too right?–
