[x300] no turn on or any other sign of life from a 1996 VDP radio

I have checked both underhood fuse boxes, the heelboard boxes and
the trunk boxes for blown fuses, I have not yet used the wiring
diagragm for the radio plug to check for power, is there a fuse
that is hidden inline to the radio or some other sort of ilk? There
is no sign of life at the radio at all (other than the blue
backlighting that comes with the instrument lights when the key is
on.–

I think you’ll find there is a relay that powers the radio.
Don’t recall the location, or the other accessories it
powers but it’s a logical point to start.–

Many threads on this one, I had the same as its a common malady. What I gleaned was that there are connections that are resting on each other between the faceplate and the radio body, sounds so easy, what I did was look around and procure at a price a working unit, plug and play, there is one place for sure that will service the unit, it’s there in the threads. Cheers,

I had the same problem with the radio in my 97 VP. Try pressing the “Eject” button and then the “Power” button. Mine works perfectly IF I first press the eject button.
