[x300] rear bump stop

I replaced my O/S rear shock over this weekend, during which I
noticed the rear bump stop rubber hanging off the mount - I suppose
I was lucky to catch it before it disappeared altogether.
Does anyone know if its possible to re-glue the rubber to the
mounting frame, if so what would be best type of adhesive to use.
I don’t intend at this point in attempting to remove the mount
itself - I dont like the look of the delicate torx screws holding
it in place - just give it a good scrub.

Same with me. I used a 20-minute two-part epoxy after thoroughly
cleaning and degreasing the surfaces to be glued as well as roughing up
the rubber surface with some sandpaper. Bump stop was still there last
November when I fitted my winter tyres, so has lasted 1 1/2 years so far.

Hi, I used Araldite on mine .I would say its worth trying to
get at lease one torq bolt out as this allows you to squirt
some cavity wax in the chassis box section .

FWIW I had to resort to using a chisel to turn the torx bolts.–

Sounds familiar - I had similar problems removing the bonnet
slam panel torx bolts to fit my radiator top bushes, as I
remember, of the 10 bolts, 5 came out ok, 3 came out with
bolt extractors and the 2 end ones I had to drill out and
use nyloc nuts to secure them instead, and like you I
replaced all with allen bolts … yes I did use Kroil and a
mini blowtorch but to no avail…
I might try one or two of the bump stop bolts given the good
(as ever) advice.

many thanks
