Hi - can anyone tell me the correct oil to go in the X300 3.2 rear diff?
This might be of help to you;

Thanks for the link.
It seems Jaguar recommends EP90.
Not sure then why people are talking about 75w140!
I’ll get some full synthetic 75w90 - which should work well.
Initially I used Castrol EPX-90, then discovered I had an LS diff.
I then changed to a 85W-90 oil with LS additive.
When I couldn’t locate this oil anymore, I switched to a Castrol 75w-140
with LS additive - this was recommended by Castrol for the X300 diff.
I never noticed any difference in petrol consumption.
Change the diff oil every 30,000 miles - mine has done 320,000 miles
and doesn’t leak or whine.
