Hello gang, hope everyone is having a great holiday.
When I bought my 96 VDP a few years back it came with ‘‘sheepskin’’
floormats. I was led to beleive that these were original from
Jaguar only for the VDP’s. Over the course of a few years they
started to wear and separate from the backing. At that time I was
able to discover that they’re not real sheepskin at all, but a man
made fabric that fooled me pretty good. I’d like to replace them
but many folks are convinced that they are all real and about $600
a set.
Anyone know where these really come from and where they would be
available at a price indicative of their value? Thanks much!

remember which ones, have you googled? Real or not I can’t
see sheepskin making very good floor mats, unless for show,
at least not here in the country of rain, mud and snow…
What happens when you unknowingly step in something organic
and unpleasant then get in your car? I have Jaguar rubber
mats in my XJ6, makes more sense.

The ‘‘sheepskin’’ overmats are still available thro the JDHT website
although some colours have been discontinued. I recently purchased
a set for my 1995 Daimler Double Six LWB in coffee. I believe this
is the equivalent of the VDP model in North America.–
