Looking in to a new set of wheels for our 1995 XJ12. Probably going with
17" or 18" wheels. Also, going to stay Jaguar (I think). Question is what
years and models of Jaguars can the wheels off of fit our XJ12.

Hub shape is different between x300 and x308, and it seems x308
wheels have 1/2’’ or so more offset. x308 7J-16 wheels fit my 1995
XJ12 but the wheel center cap on the front wheels cannot be pushed
in because there is no room inside. I am using the 7J-16 in the
Winter (215/60) with 1/2’’ or so wheel spacers, and using the normal
8J-16 in the Summer (225/55).
From the experiences on x308 XJR’s with 17’’ wheels and the 215/60-
16 Winter tires, I am thinking about going to 215/60-16 on 7J-16 in
the Summer as well. 8J-16 with normal 225/55-16 Pirelli is fine
for spirited driving in events and track days, but ride quality
suffers with lower profile tires.–
