Having spent three days at Jaguar Heritage last week.
I decided I must put in an effort to sort the X 300 door
problem, The cable I purchased from Black Country Jaguar was
I was assured the correct one albeit that it had a ball on
one end & not the same as on the broken one. Thanks to
whoever that sent me the photo of a latch, I could now see
why my latch would not come out. Not a lot of room but I
eventualy got the white plastic clip off & out came the latch.
You only need to remove the lower screw from the window
giude. Once the latch is out its a doddle to fit the new
cable to it. The rest is history as they say. I do however
need the black plastic insert for the handle it broke & the
same time as the cable.
