[x300] XJ6 Failed Drive Clean Test

Hi all
My 1995 Xj6 X300 AJI6 Engine Failed its Vehicle Emissions Test
today, ppm Nitrous Oxide 525 The limit it seems is 365. I called
the Jaguar Dealer looking for a fix or cause of this problem, they
mentioned O2 sensors, maff sensor, but couldn’t say for sure until
they run a computer analysis of the vehicle systems. They can’t do
this until next week. My problem is I wish to get my Plate sticker
as tomorrow is my last day to do so before my plate becomes
invalid. Any ideas?? has anyone run into this problem and what was
the FIX. Thanks for the help.
Regards

Hello fellow Ontarin

Check out blocked egr passages and or proper operation of egr
system. Nox is heavily influenced by the egr system. Lots of luck.–

Hi newrynuck I have 97 vdp and a few strong adjectives for the
drive clean bureaucrats. have had the car about 8 years. Even
theLondon Jag dealer could not get it to pass. One year I spent
$11oo and still had to take th conditional. This year I just took
it to an indie, gave him the $500 and said get a conditional. The
London dealer does not do the test, but their BMW cousin does, but
cannot apply the $500 to possibly useful jag parts. Despite the
pleasant driving, I may, in2 years, just scrap the car and buy a
Buick My sympathy Paul–
