Has anyone had an X308 that they sadly had to scrap, and what was the reason? Engine failure/tensioners/gearbox failure…
Mine’s a 1998 so now 25 years old with just under 80,000 miles, and I’ve had it 16 glorious years. I love it still, and would be absolutely gutted if it died.
I have a 1004 s-type same color. Love it.
Usually they get scrapped for rust, accidents, or combined weight of uneconomical repair. If yours looks good and isn’t rusty, search out a spare parts car to keep in the wings. Having a good spare engine and transmission (and rest of the car) under a tarp is very handy.
