[xj] brake pop

Hello fellow listers,

I have an 1985 XJ-6 with about 220.000 miles about every 137th time you use
the brake there is a slight popping noise in the pedal and you can also feel
it at the same time. ? ?

There is no change in the way the brakes work the car seems safe butttttt.
This happens so infrequently that I do not have chance of making it happen.
All I haev done todate is silicone the brake pedal bushing but I wonder if
the issue might be at the bosteer and the master cylinder pivot? ?

Ideas.

Mine does that nearly every time I apply the brakes. It just started doing
it one day, I would suspect a worn bushing or something, but it just started
doing it.
