Well I just got the scoop from BTC tire company as to why they added shims
to my 85 xj6 to adjust the camber…
Turns out that the factory shim, washers whatever - that they removed were
quite fat. About 1/4 of an inch worth.
So they had to go back in there and add the 1/8th+ of shims to get the camber
settings in line with the factory spec.
The net net of it all is that they did remove some amount of shim. Approx
1/8th of an inch, to compensate for the sag of the frame and springs.
Was a Gullible BQ… now a confident BQ
