[xj] Buying a low mileage '98 3.2 (original timing chain tensioner)

I’ve just looked at an almost pristine XJ8 and am seriously
thinking of putting in an offer.
3 owners and only 61k miles on the clock with a service book
stamped every year.

I’m concerned though that there is no evidence of the timing
chain tensioner having been upgraded.
Neither is there any paperwork on the water pump.

I’m sorry about posting in the wrong forum.

I guess it is just an old habit to start in the XJ forum!–
