Try Rockauto on line, it may have a picture. probably a good price
as well. No affiliation, just helpful folks!

DO you not also have the switch on the pedal?

The TH400 gets its electric signal from a switch mounted on the accelerator to a switch mounted on the drivers side of the transmission.

Make sure the switch is adjusted properly before resorting
to replacing parts that are not needed.
On all the TH400 I have ever seen I have never seen the
switch on the trans go bad. It would either be the switch on
the pedal, that had gone bad or was just out of adjustment.
I used to work on many, MANY big block GM vehicles.

Just thought I would mention the adjustment if it has not
been done or though of already.–

Thanks to this thread I’ve just been out, checked my kickdown
switch, adjusted it and then had the acceleration experience of a
lifetime.

When the V12 holds on to 1st and 2nd to almost 6000 rpm it’s quite
a beast, isn’t it? (I actually chickened out at 5000 rpm in 2 -
even going up quite a prolonged hill we were getting a bit quick
for a nightime driving.)–
