In tinkering with Camilla I found a wire that runs in a gruop from passanger side to drivers side in front of engine and then it splits and runs behind alternator. It has a female end on it but goes to nothing. Any ideas where this should go?–

Seems like that would be part of the air conditioning…

I'm not sure what wire that could be, but here's a link to
something that should help you sort it out. This is the electrical
guide for your car. I recommend that you download it (it’s free) and
use it to help sort out mysteries like this.
BTW, you shouldn't use the terms "drivers side" or "passenger
side" because that depend on whether your car is left hand drive or
right hand drive and can easily be confused depending what country the
reader is in. It’s better to refer to positions in the car as
referenced to the driver sitting behind the wheel (left side, right
side) as this doesn’t change.–

Three somewht irrelevant thoughts, Todd…
If you have nothing malfunctioning I would not bother; Jaguar fully
wired the cars up to serve all markets and equipment levels - and
perforce had to leave some wires at loose ends. Discerning wire colours
is not always all that easy on old, faded wires, and one needs confirmed
colour vision to be sure as well - I’m red ‘weak’…
And thirdly; there is the ‘right’ and ‘left’, as Paul says…
