[xj] Heated mirrors won't turn off and no wiper function

I have two issues with my 1997 XJ6L that happened
concurrently, so I was wondering if they were related. 1) The
outside rear-view mirrors are HOT all the time and I can’t
locate any switch to turn off their heater, and 2) My
windshield wipers don’t work. If the wiper lever is engaged as
I turn the car on they will start and give three swipes across
the window then stop; however when trying to start them again

  • no luck. I thought maybe they were part of the same fuse,
    but not so, according to the manual. Thanks for your help!–
