[xj] HELP! FUEL IN AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD

Could be as simple as a leaking cold-start injector, so clamp its hose
off after draining the fuel, then run again for a while to see if fuel
comes back into the manifold. Note the lowest spigot on the manifold
should have a removable cap on it for draining.–

After running the car the last weekend, I smell some fuel
coming from the engine compartment to the car through the
vents. I looked under the tanks, no fuel, under the engine,
no fuel.

But today, I took out the rubber from the AFM to the
butterfly and when I was checking with a friend, I opened
the butterfly and guess what I found… FUEL IN THERE!!!

I was totaly surprised, and I think this is the source of
all my idling and running problems. The first I will do is
try to take out the fuel inside taking out the butterfly or
try to fund if there is a hole under the intake manifold (i
think there is one from the vaccum system).

Then I don’t know where is all this fuel coming. I think,
maybe from a bad non-return valve around there, but really
no idea, just know I want to fix it inmediatelly.

Anybody know where this problem can be coming from?? or
maybe some instructions to check some components and then
guide me to find the solution??
