I posted this on the XJ-S Forum. Although this is an XJ-S
questions, maybe someone on this list can help.
I just locked myself out of my 1990 XJ-S with the engine running. I
must have hit the remote when I started the car. I shut the door
while I was outside, and I couldn’t get back in. I am 40 minutes
AAA is coming to unlock the car, is there anything that I should be
aware of? Can they damage anything with a slim jim?
Thanks,
Henryfrom my extra set of keys. Everything is locked.

They won’t damage anything, Henry, at least they didn’t on mine - watch
and learn…
But it shows one further drawback on simple remotes…:-))

In reply to a message from Frank Andersen sent Sun 29 Feb 2004:
Frank,
It all worked out. No damage, took 20 minutes. I’m much more
careful now.
