[xj] Jaguar XJ6 Series III inner fulcrum brackets

Hello I have a problem with the rear suspension on my XJ6
series III. On removing and stripping the suspension prior
to overhaul I noticed the inner fulcrum brackets were loose.
The attachment bolts were still wired in place so presumably
the shims (0.007’’) have fallen out. My question is how do I
reshim the brackets to achieve the correct toe in? This is
not mentioned in any workshop manual so I am presuming it
was factory set.–

The rear toe-in is not adjustable.

Those shims are not for wheel alignment, they’re for assembly alignment so
that the long fore-aft fulcrum bolt will line up with the holes in the
subframe or ‘cage’.
