[xj] NEW XJ LIST ADMIN - PLEASE READ!

Hi all

I forget whether it is three or four years that I have been xj list admin -
seems like forever!

However, I have been very concerned over the last 6 months or so that I
simply haven’t been able to give the list sufficient attention as an admin.
As a self employed consultant, work all too often gets in the way, and the
list (and forum) deserves a more continuous level of service than I have
been able to offer of late.

I have therefore decided after a great deal of heart searching to step down
as xj list admin.

Fortunately, Chuck Renner has kindly agreed to take up the reins. Chuck is
a long-term xj lister who you will all know from his knowlegable mails and
willingness to help, and I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing
Chuck the very best in running xj, and give him as smooth a ride as you have
given me over the years.

You aren’t going to get rid of me entirely, however - I will remain as a
vigorous member of xj - and may now actually find the time to re-join xjs
and V12 too!

Chuck will be taking over today (Sunday).

Very best of everything…

Chuck, best of luck…I’m behind you all the way !

Craig. You have bought stability to the list and have been the word of
wisdom when things began to get out of hand. Like all good referee’s your
presents was known but not always seen. I applaud you for the work that you
have done and the manner in which you have conducted it. I also wish Chuck
the best in his new position.

Craig,

Thanks for all you’ve done for this group. Through heated times, through
question times, you’ve always held us on course. I, for one, appreciate it
and thank you.

Chuck - Welcome aboard to your new role; high bar, but you will excel!

Thank you for all your efforts, Craig. This list is the best of it’s kind
out there thanks to the dedicated people who spend so much time with it’s
care and feeding.

And Good Luck Chuck.

Thanks to Craig for taking good care of the list. If you like the way Craig
has been handling things, you shouldn’t notice much difference. I have no
plans for any immediate changes. As a mailing list goes, this is among the
most civil and true to the topic at hand. It must be that we all have such
good taste in automobiles…

The members of this list are what makes it so great. Without the accrued
knowledge of the members and their willingness to share it, I’m sure we’d
all getting much less enjoyment from our cars, and spending much more with
mechanics.===================================================

Or more time at work … trying to pay for those mechanics!

And on the congratulatory thread …
Welcome to “Management” Chuck. May your tenure be enjoyable and satisfying.

And Sean? Thanks for all the time and great service you gave for our List.
I hope you continue to enjoy, even more, our J-L Family now that you don’t
have to be the “breadwinner”/“father figure”/“authoritarian”! (smile)

Oops! Did it again!

Someday I’d like to still be able to engage the mouth (or fingers) ‘after’
the brain releases the thought.

Sorry Craig … of course I meant YOU should enjoy everything more now!
(smile)

And Sean? It’s okay with me if you still want to be the “breadwinner/father
figure/authoritarian”, at least on the XJS List, eh? (grin)

(Common guys! We’ve been working 10 hour days for the last 2 weeks straight
at work - including weekends! I’m tired! Smile)

Thanks Craig for all your efforts, and welcome to the job Chuck! As
an avid reader/user of the list I think it is the most valuable
asset a XJ owner can have - bar none! So my thanks to the Admins,
past and present!

Craig,

Thanks for your efforts for all of us – and for the cars we, as a
community, love to fuss over.

If it hadn’t been for this list, which you’ve invested so much of your time
in, I likely would not have the lovely VDP I have now.

Thanks from all of us here at our home.
