Saw the responses to the dashboad inquire’s and got inspiration to redo my
dash in my car. My car is a Series 3 VDP and it’s dash is in very poor
condition. Locally I have a woodworking supply house that sells all types of
plywoods with hardwood veneers. My question is more related to the thickness
of the wood it seems that the dash is 1/2 an inch despite this all replys
that I have seen in relation to the wood dash replacements are told 3/4 inch
thick, How is this possible? The second area of concern is that I think the
dash in my car is very poorly layed out and I would love to reconfigure the
layout mimicking the new Bentley Arnage layout. This is a less cluttered
layout. The round air ducts are available at any Bentley dealer as they would
be less obtrusive than the large rectangular duct that is in the series 3
Jaguar.
Any thoughts from the other Jag lovers in relation to this question as it
would be very interesting to here other opinions to my question. And a big
thanks to all who replyed to my problems with my injectors I decided to buy a
new set of injectors and injector harness this cleared the problem up
immediatley as well as a new timing chain set with new tensioners and
hardware. I should keep in mind the next time I decide to rebuild an engine, I
will make sure to include fuel injection parts as part of my list of parts to
buy. thanks again and I will look forward to your responses
