Okay…I understand that. I’m exactly the opposite. I love the rear end
on the S-Type and don’t much care for the rear end on the MK II.
I also like the headlight config and the slim bumpers better on the S-Type.
If indeed I find one and get my wish to have it, I
might just talk to you about tweaking an XK for it.
I’d love it! There’s been a ton of work done on these cars over the years
with things like rack and pinions, 4.2 EFI motors, and all kinds of modern
upgrades. Vicarage has done quite a few and even made a convertible.
Right now it is a
matter of finding one, meeting my initial budget and getting it all past the
spousal unit with causing a domestic upheaval.
Ahh, you need a wife like mine. She’s done with our Subaru this month as
the lease runs out. She said no more Japanese cars, she wants another Jag.
Gotta love that!
