By your pictures, I think I would register it first!
Then maybe fix the front bumper and get rid of those
headlights.

OK, I have decided to dye my front seats in order to make them look
better. However, I can’t seem to decipher the code on the door (and I’m
sure> it’s original).

The car’s paint and trim codes are MDE and HDD, respectively. And I’m
pretty sure the “HDD” is correct, which is puzzling me. It is not “NDD”
unless it’s a misprint on the sticker. It is an 11/83 build 84 US “base”

Those pictures were taken just after the engine was replaced. The bumper
has since been replaced, the bodywork has been done, the front plate was
removed so I didn’t have to blur it out, and I have 7" lights in the
closet.
