Gah. Just what we need - more DRL-equipped cars to make us motorcyclists even more invisible to the typical oblivious car driver. DRL’s are a bad idea.
As for letting the car in front in on what’s going on - what makes you think the typical driver ever looks in their rearview mirror? They don’t pay attention to police cars with flashing super-bright lights, they won’t pay attention to your headlights blinking. At this point, I think the only thing that would get many peoples’ attention is a warning shot across the bow with an autocannon, or a machine gun burst through the back windshield (aimed to miss them, of course). And I’m not entirely sure that that would work…
<just now, almost got caught in a 6 car pileup caused by oblivious drivers, only escaped through the power and handling of the big cat>

Craig,
This thread attracted more interest than opening a can of worms on a beach
covered in Seagulls.
Any chance of coming up with a mod to light up the headlights when the
brakes are applied so that the car in front hasn’t got a bloody clue what is
happening ?
Just kidding

The one I liked was the lister who fitted a horn from a diesel-electric
loco to his Holden. Now that is a serious retrofit - reminded me of
that scene from The Mask (no not the lug nut one).
