[xj-s] 1994 2+2 V12 drivers side window motor not working

I’ve checked the switch and it is putting power through.
I’ve removed the door panel and am attempting to access the motor
itself.
Does all the hardware, door handle, seat switches et. al. need to
be removed? And, if the motor is truly bad and not a bushing or off
track, am I able to raise the window and keep it up, as the car is
outside and it’s been raining a lot! this year. Thanks Horace–

Interested to see that you’ve got this problem - I’ve just
had exactly the same thing on my XJS that I bought a month
or two back!

I’ve read a few comments in the XJS Help booklet which I’m
going to try out.

Unfortunately you will need to remove all the hardware but it’
s not that difficult unless you mess with the door lock and
latch adjustments. Can you hear the motor running? Sometimes
the wheels on the regulator arm get wonky. Let me know if
you need any parts.–
