[xj-s] 88 XJS warning buzzer

Our 88’s warning buzzer that is for keys left in comes on and
stays on as long as the driver’s side door is open whether the keys
are in or not. This is very annoying. I would like to know if this
is the way it is supposed to function or is something amiss.

Check the ignition key system which has the warning circuit.

My 88 acts up when I fiddle with the key, sometimes the buzzer
stops all together. Check the contacts in the switch itself,
probably sticking closed.–

Thank you all. I will check this as soon as the car gets back from
having the head liner replaced.
