I’m looking at a 1994 XJS V12 convertible with 55,000 miles on it.
This would be my first Jag…
Are there any specific things to look for when considering this
car? Potential problems to looked at by a Jag specialist? Any info
is really appreciated!
Also - are there differences btw. the '94 and '95 model years?–

Ted, I’ve got a '94 convertible for about 4 years and I love it.
Previously I had a '90 and there is no comparison. I have done all of the
normal silly things to bring the car up to speed, like re bolting the rear
ground effects shroud back on, getting the cooling fans to work properly,
getting the headlight washers working etc., but no major surgery. My car
has 100k + and with the exception of a rattlely compressor, looks and
sounds like new. It’s much quicker than the '90, especially away from the
lights in “sport” mode. Good luck with your purchase. There weren’t many
of them exported to the USA.
