First hot day yesterday so switched on the air, no go,done a three
hour investigation today under the console and underscuttle panels.
Could not find any loose wires or bad vacuum lines.Checked fuses.
the compressor does not kick in and no blower it’s plain dead.
Anyone any ideas where to look next. Its a v12 77 xjs.

The A-6 compressor uses a thermal fuse. The fuse blows when there
is insufficient coolant (the coolant level is not the immediate
reason, but does cause the fuse to blow). See if there is
refrigerant in the system, and check the fuse. I believe it is is
attached to the compressor. It has three spade terminals on it.–
