[xj-s] Anti-Seize

Jack; I understand that the anti-seize is to facilitate the removal of the
spark plugs. what I’m saying is that if you clean the hole thoroughly so that
the plug will go in all the way without a wrench, and then slightly tighten
as recommended by Jaguar, it will come out very easily without anti-seize.
Mine did not have anti-seize and came out relatively easy.

That’s nice in a perfect world, but dry threads over time will wear and
antiseize in that application does keep the threads from galling as well. A
good antiseize will lube the threads as well. Galvanic corrosion in that
area happens all the time, why risk it. I see no downside to antiseize
whatsoever, why wouldn’t you? I know when I put plugs in that they will come
out.
