re: craig sawyers. thanks for the info on the relay. my brother rebuilt
it to ur specs. what i need now is a hint as to what goes where. wires
as follows. double lt.green/ gre-neutral/ double-green-brown/ lt green/
black-green. relay has 5 pins numbered…thanks craig…michael 85 xjs

My wiring diagram is ambiguous here. The blue “relay” mounted on the LHS
inner wing is in fact a diode pack. What I’ll do is find out what goes
where from my brother in law, who has an XJS. On a SIII saloon (sedan)
which I have, the diodes are wired into the harness (yuk).

OK Michael, here’s what I have from the broth-in-law:

Pin1 double green/brown (could be green/red)
Pin2 double light green
Pin3 single green/neutral (could be green/pink)
Pin4 single light green
Pin5 single black/green
