[xj-s] CPS Location on 87 XJS V12

I have an 87 XJS that has been having starting problems. I
am fairly sure the crank position sensor needs to be
replaced.

Can someone tell where it is located? I thought it was near
the water pump but I have not been able to find it.–

Well now it makes sense, since I could not find it. But I
still have a starting problem. Bummer, back to square 1.

Thanks for the reply.–

Without knowing details of symptoms it seems more often
than not the place to start looking is the coax signal
wire connecting ignition to fuel ecu.–
