[xj-s] Disconnected Master Cylinder Wires

While cleaning my engine compartment, I disconnected a
pair of (what I thought were) yellow wires attached to the
left side (LHD car) of the brake cylinder unit. After cleaning
the wires I noticed that one was solid yellow while the other
was yellow with a white tracer. This was impossible to tell
under the grime. The wires attach to two spade type terminals
on some sort of sensor. Both wires fit on either terminal.
Does it matter which one they go on?

Sorry to leave out important details like that.
It is an '86 V-12 H.E.

Chris - If you have a 1979 through 1988-1/2, I can look in my wiring
schematics about 6 pm Eastern time tonight. Do you have a 3.6 or V12 (I
have both schematics)?

Cruise control. That’s the safety switch that positively shuts it
off when the brakes are applied. I don’t think it matters which is
which, the switch just connects them together.
