[xj-s] HELP - SPORT LIGHT KEEPS LIGHTING UP!

Hello - New XJS owner - 1994 convertable getting sport indicator
light turning on. When this happens the car feels sluggish,
especially when begin acceleration. It is not on all the time,
only when it feels like it. What does this mean?

What this might mean is that you or the PO might have
spilled their late on the console and gummed up the switch.
Are you showing any error codes or check engine lights?–
