I’v been driving an XJ-6 since 1988, which I sold, and bought an 89 XJ-S
Conv. in June. so I am new to this car. At below 60mph a slight depression
of the pedal will drop it into 2nd. If I depress it all the way it will drop
to 2nd and then kick down. At above 60mph it will only kick down if I press
it to the fire wall. Is this normal?
