Dean2, when you run out of things to check, and if you still have a
leak, maybe this will help. Just a thought, as I’m not sure the
XJS is exactly the same, but the early XJ-6 had a problem letting
water in at the windshield wiper, where the post goes through on
top of the firewall,just in front of the windshield. The part the
wiper actually attaches to. (Early, can’t think what its called).
Seems the various washers etc didn’t seal very good. Its high
enough that water would enter the glove box, and anything else
starting that high up. Hope this helps. Keith–
